My web profile page does not show the picture from my inworld profile. Instead it says: "Texure not found".

3 of your 4 picks end up as page not found and the 4th also has texture not found.
/me votes that it's just borked. _____________________

There's a profile image in the profile display inworld, and there are 4 picks images inworld. They show up properly in the profile display.
On the website the profile image shows "Texture not found". I don't know what the url for your picks on the website is. in the SL viewer, iwhen I do a Search All, and click on the People link, the html profile page displayed shows the image as "Texture not found", but when I then click the link to view the full profile, there is an image there. _____________________

There's http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-1025 but my profile picture doesn't have an alpha layer and showed up in search fine until one day it went *poof*. |

Yeah, there's no alpha in Suezanne's profile picture, either. You can see it with a little script:
default { state_entry() { llSetTexture("ee26d0e0-54c5-af1c-6b72-70bc8d2f2380", ALL_SIDES); } } and it's opaque. That UUID comes from the web page source, by the way. Apparently they just never got around to making that asset available on the web (which explains nothing, I realize). |

Yeah, there's no alpha in Suezanne's profile picture, either... /me picks nits. Opaque does not mean no alpha! _____________________

/me picks nits. Opaque does not mean no alpha! (... and/or abuse me for it, but for that, we'll need costumes and attachments. ) |

shift-alt-ctrl-T says there's no alpha in that one.
I'll take a wild guess that the web profiles will always be fed by a converter. That lets LL slap the little watermark tag on, they don't need to worry if web browsers can display j2c, and if we think people freak a lot *now* about how easy assets are downloaded... |

Ah, yeah, it may not have been obvious that I was quoting Control-Alt-Shift-T when I said "opaque"; of course you can get sneaky opacity by having all the alpha channel bits set (or cleared, whichever way that works) and the viewer would report it as an alpha texture.
(Now besides vaguely wondering which way the alpha bits are set/cleared, I'm also wondering if there's a canonical order for modifier keys: is it Control-Alt-Shift or Alt-Control-Shift or... ?) ![]() |
