Is it possible to block a gesture but not the user as well. My favorite hangout is a little text gesture crazy. I'll be following a conversation and then someone will use a gesture that fills up half the screen, pushing the conversation up and away to fast to follow.
Is there a text gesture filter out there?
Thanks!

I don't think so, but you can reduce the number of text screen lines in Edit\Preferences. Cut it down to 4 or 5 so it does not roll right up the screen. You can also increase/reduce the length of time text stays on the screen so you have more chance of catching a message - useful when using a foreign language.

Thanks! If somebody would invent something like that, they would make a fortune on SL. You may also want to use Chat History instead of using the chat rolling up the screen. Still is bad when gestures hit, but you can atleast scroll up to see what you missed.

And it won't fill up your whole screen.

Thanks you two. Cutting the lines to six did the trick.

For *object* spam (which does not help with gestures), you can set the text color in Preferences to exactly match the text console background color, then it will be invisible.
