Phil may be the best one to answer this, but I need info on how to improve my rankings in search. Primarily, does it help to use strategy by putting descripters in the name and the description, or is it a waste of time doing so.

Well LL definitely changed the settings slighty over a week ago. I knew what seemed to work prior to that as did several others....but we're probably all busy testing the new IBL weightings to see what the optimal settings are. I have a feeling PICKS have been downgraded a bit....maybe someone else here can verify that or disagree with it.

Bradley search words are important in your objects but your parcel name and description probably carry more weight.

Read the sticky about it at the top of this forum and try different techniques, sometimes a page that is too detailed can lose weight but as we're not sure of LL's algorithm here nobody knows for sure what works perfectly, but good tips are avaialble in the stickied thread.

Definitely use your main keywords/phrases in the parcel name and description, and in the names and/or descriptions of the items that are set for sale. And, when you have done the parcel's name and description, get Picks to it. Existing Picks don't change the text after changes have been made to the parcel name and description, so you need Picks after the changes.

Good advice that, I learned this the hard wayby changing a parcel name. Seemed so obvious after I did it. Proper Doh! moment.
