Hi guys,

As many of you know I have now sold all my holdings in SL and am pursuing the OpenSim route to life, the metaverse, and everything.

Although I intended to leave the SL forum and concentrate my posts in the OpenSim forums, I have been asked by several SL friends to provide my experiences and updates to my journey to the OSGrid here.

To this end I have started a blog post where you can read what am doing, now that I have got my standalone sim up and running on my PC. The blog has been written in the style of a 'How-to', which I hope you will find useful, and I will inform you when any big change is made to the blog.

The blog, entitled 'Chapter & Metaverse' can be be found at:

http://rock-vacirca.blogspot.com/

Please feel free to leave comments, and if there is any questions you have on OpenSim/OpenLife/OSGrid/RealXtend please feel free to ask, either here or at the blogsite. I can't guarantee to know the answer, being a relatively new starter myself to this route, but I think if I cannot answer I can at least point you in the right direction for an answer :))

Rock

Glad to see it.. I will be reading in hopes of getting something further out of OpenLife than managing my skirt- my only success there so far :)

Damn. I prefer women's skirts to be unmanageable.

I have an OpenLife standalone island of 2 sims, called Wootonia. It's great fun but it doesn't stop me living most of my 'life' in Second Life, where I can meet people and say silly things.

Wootonia isn't a silly thing?
