Check out the "Linden Road" through Goanna and into the next sim to the east. It looks like people have built completely across the protected land/Linden Lumpy Road. At one point, my 6m wide vehicle won't fit. This issue started over a month ago, and I ARed the original "bridge" across the protected land. Nothing happened, and now all the neighbors of the original builder seem to be claiming protected land as part of their homes & shops. (and the first bridge
Do I bother filing more ARs, or assume that since LL did nothing about the first one it's a lost cause?

Park a dirty great phantom vehicle on the road, making sure it's all on the road. Sit there and wait for them to AR you. And if enough of them do it, maybe a Linden will arrive to deal with the encroachment that they have reported? Oops!!

There was a Linden who was IMing the Arbor Project and clearing land when people gave him coordinates. Ask in that group for his name. Contact him and see if he can do a sweep.

I have to admit - one section looks like a passable attempt at a road, but it's too narrow. The bridge at head height is irksome. Too low to walk under or drive under, too high to step or drive over.

Broccoli Yes, but you can never get him these days. I think it was Soft Linden but I need confirmation. He was doing sweeps once a day for a while...

From: Solomon Devoix Yes, it was Soft Linden. Nice bloke. Thanks for the confirmation. Yeah, he was doing it every day before he left for home for a while. But you had to wait for him to offer to clear parcels...he asked that you not just IM him out of the blue. But at least you know a Linden to talk to now.

I was walking the future highways of the Southern Continent and I came across a miniature garden type railway that crosses the road twice. It has automated lifting drawbridge sections that lower across the Linden land to let the train pass - neat!

If these people are building on protected land, does that mean we can build there too. I've always wanted to build a really ugly skyscraper

From: Chas Connolly If these people are building on protected land, does that mean we can build there too. I've always wanted to build a really ugly skyscraper Only if LL forgot to set auto return or no-build on the protected land. Usually these roadway, bridge type builds use prims spanning from adjacent land to extend out into the roadway, the center of the object is not actually on the protected land.

do people who take advantage of this get in trouble for it? what's to stop them from doing it along the whole road?
i have seen random places where people drop things for sale on protected land. i've never ar'd anything, cuz that seems like snitching. but it does interefere with my exploration, so it'd be nice if it could all be cleaned up, and auto return turned on.

From: 3Ring Binder i've never ar'd anything, cuz that seems like snitching. However, if everyone was like this, it would be a free-for-all. TOS clearly states parcel encroachment is not allowed. The land is clearly labelled "Protected Land" and owned by LL. There's really no excuse for it. Now in cases where a path-cut megaprim is blocking the road, I have politely IMed the owner and advised them that even though that half is invisible, it still blocks the road. No AR needed for a simple mistake. Something that's a blatant TOS violation, absolutely I AR every time I encounter. There's a huge difference between "Oops, my wall is.001 over the line" and "I think I'll build 6m into the roadway."
