Exact XY Coord For My Land?

I turned land borders on in SL, but I'm trying to build a skybox very high up right now. I have been trying to identify the exact XY coordinates of all four corners of my perfectly square 1,024 SQ. M. land and what I've done is embed audio on my land and use that as a reference up in the sky when building. If my chosen audio stream dies then I know I've left my land space...
I've tried to find where the precise coords are for my land but all I find is the "center" location where I can teleport to. Instead of me trying to determine the land straight out from that central point, is there somewhere I've missed where I can see and then say "ok, so my land is to these four corners" so I can more quickly build and contain my structures in my land/sky allotment?
Many thanks. I've not found any place here in the forums that helped so forgive me if I've somehow missed the solution...

- Put prim cubes on each of the 4 corners of your plot, at ground level. Use the grid in edit mode to line them up precisely. - open each prim in edit and type in a vertical position up in the sky where your skybox is. Watch them shoot up into the sky. - build and enjoy

Yes, in the object tab in edit, type the meter height that you want each cube to go to and it will pop up there when you click enter. I believe it's the z axis field you want to type into.

From: Anti Antonelli - Put prim cubes on each of the 4 corners of your plot, at ground level. Use the grid in edit mode to line them up precisely. Land is comprised of 4x4 blocks so as soon as you have them roughly where the corners are you can figure out the rest without fiddling with the corner . If you're marking each corner with a normal 0.5x0.5 cube, round up (or down depending on which corner you're at) to the nearest multiple of 4 and subtract (or add if you're rounding down) 0.25m to get the prim within your borders.

I actually did do the cube in the corner trick, but my land is on a very steep slope (this is why it was very cheap too) and my neighbors have been raising and lowering their land trying to flatten what they could. Thus my land is very jagged around my plot.
I'd thought of putting blocks in the corners, but just wondered if there was an actual "deed" somewhere that said "you own this land here, at these coordinates." Seems easier than having to guestimate the precise corners manually by placing blocks.
If not, then I'm ok with doing it the other ways, just thought since my land is listed in my account it would also state it's dimensions.
Wishful thinking?

Wishful thinking? No deed like this exists. Other ideas: You can look at the top of your window and make note of when the description changes to what your neighbor has as his description versus yours. Thats about it. If your land is that jagged, make long skinny poles as markers instead of cubes.

From: Raymond Figtree If your land is that jagged, make long skinny poles as markers instead of cubes. Heh, now why hadn't THAT occured to me? LOL! Ok, that's what I'll do then, and it will be easier to make tall thin poles align better than trying to move little squares around in the corners, especially since there is a 12 meter difference in height between the front corners and back corners of my lot. Thanks everyone for the blazing fast replies and tips. You've all been very helpful! - Funk

And thus my month and a half long streak of not being helpful here comes to an end.

Or, if your land is perfectly square, it should be easy to put down several 10x10x.5 m platforms on the ground, running right up to your property lines. Link them all together (or not, doesn't matter) and then without moving any of them on the XY coordinates, enter whatever Z coordinate you want (300m, for example) and then voila, instant building platform exactly the size and shape of your plot, up in the air!

I use a Conover's Gadget - 'Advanced Border and Performance-Scanner'
If you are in or over a plot, one click and the things builds a 'wall' around the boundaries of the plot at whatever altitude you happen to be at. i.e You can hover in empty space at 700m, and click. This works even for irregular plot shapes.
The box or stick prim at a corner, followed by a big-z entry works fine, especially on flattish ground. The gadget is instant gratification however. I bought the gadget initially for the sim performance scanning, but it was invaluable the first time I built on and over a very steep hillside. I use it on every build now, if only to use 'Edit' on key wall sections to read off the coordinates so that I can position prims relative to the boundary.
One click/confirm and the wall disappears.

Here's how I do it: As others have suggested, place poles or blocks near the 4 corners of your property line. Then raise these up to your skybox level. When you place your larger flat prims to make a floor to stand on, get those prims as close to your propertly line markers as possible. Then... Go into Object/Edit - and round the X/Y coordinates to the nearest X.000 number. You'll find that perfectly aligned prims to the property line will also have perfectly even numbers. You may have to go through a little trial & error to round up or down, but from my experience this works rather nicely Good Luck!

Simple Solution: When you click in "About Land" you will see a yellow rectange marking your land surroundings. That's the land you own.

Shouldn't be too hard to knock up a script that uses llGetLandOwnerAt to do something like the OP wants. I'll have a play with it later, assuming the grid isn't dead on its feet with all the CSI people Oh, and you can't get 4 corners for your land because it might not be rectangular!

From: Lexxi Gynoid It isn't that easy to see the land border very high up in the sky. Or even a little high up. I wish like heck they'd have an option that allows us to raise the edge markers all the way up.

Some gadgets to help
10-24-2007 10:52
For L$1 you can get a Coordinates Finder on SLExchange: http://www.slexchange.com/modules.php?name=Marketplace&file=item&ItemID=353545And for L$100 you can get laser beacons that send a colored signal up over 700 meters: http://www.slexchange.com/modules.php?name=Marketplace&file=item&ItemID=169705There are probably other products too, but these are the ones that I am familiar with, and they are very affordable.
