I've finally finished building my copy of the temple on Fuchsia (well apart from the curvy bit I managed to delete just before logging out). I spent quite a while on it and it's looking pretty good (I think). Problem is - and yes, you, like I, might wonder why I did this - when I built it; I built it 600m up in the sky. It's final destination is to be the island, 600m'ish' below, which doesn't actually exist yet. Here's the question; it's quite big, (well bigger than the 3 x 10m prim linking limit). I could painstakingly while hovering around the build, click on every prim but you know what'll happen, I 'take' it to my inventory and there floating in space are all the bit's I missed. So is it possible to use your mouse and keyboard to 'drag' across the build and highlight the whole lot ? I have occassionally 'by accident' dragged over something I've been working on and seen all the components light up..which suggests It can be done. However the last time I did that I shifted part of the roof and then deleted that curvy bit. I do have one of those 'builder' programmes but haven't tried it out yet. It does say you can use it to link pretty much any size of build, however I get the feeling it's also going to say you need to use the programme to construct the building to enable the link facility. Anyone got any suggestions here..? Perre..

From: Perre Anatine So is it possible to use your mouse and keyboard to 'drag' across the build and highlight the whole lot ? Yes. Right-click>Edit on one of the pieces, then hold down Shift and left-click drag across the rest. You should then be able to take or move it all as one piece. If you take it into inventory, it *should* rez back with all items in the same relative positions when you pull it back out. You may need to make a few adjustments, though.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

get the rez faux
easy to use, very easy
and their directions are easy to follow, and well it will solve a lot of problems for your oversized build

Thanks for the replies folks..I've already got Rez Faux, so I'm going to use it once I've linked up as many pieces as possible using Ann's solution. I'll probably do a few tests with some other structures first, just in case I cock it up. I'd really hate to lose this building.
Thanks again..Perre
