How many times do you have to report a bug before LL gives a care? |

Serious question here. Do they even read these things? I've submitted MULTIPLE bug reports on the same problem within the past 3-4 months and they haven't even acknowledged there's a problem...

If a tree falls in the forest does anyone hear the sound of one hand clapping...

Apparently not if they work for Linden Labs. Now that I think about it, I have never reported a bug to find it fixed unless months pass by and the entire SL community takes notice. Never has any linden replied to me asking for more details or information, or shown any interest in any of the bugs I have reported before. It's like the feature's only there to make me feel safe. Please tell me someone else has noticed this and I'm not just being crazy.

Where are you reporting it?

Please look up and reference the 'Tao of Linden'. That should about cover it. ![]() The specific bug I'm talking about right now is the bug of Second Life interfering with ATi's GPU preferences. Opening the program, when it's setting up OpenGL it will sometimes override the settings and turn Anti-Aliasing and sometimes Anisotropic Filtering off. It probably has to do with the AF setting in the preferences window, but that matters not as everyone at LL is too busy being 'visionaries' and 'arrogant pricks who wont stop TALKING about themselves on their blogs and actually do some bloody managing' to care about fixing bugs most the time. And I HAVE been reporting in the in-world bug report feature, although as of late I haven't bothered reporting anything for reasons made painfully obvious in this very post, but I'm not complaining about the system, just the people that seem to be handling it. |

There was once this bug that made building virtually impossible. I raised hell about it along with a bunch of other people, and one of the other people found a way to reliably replicate it. They fixed that.
I think it helps if you figure out how to fix it first, THEN tell them about it. coco _____________________

And I HAVE been reporting in the in-world bug report feature Have you ever submitted it to JIRA? I actually see Linden feedback on there fairly often. https://jira.secondlife.com/ _____________________

And I haven't used JIRA, but I will try that next. There are actually quite a few ATI-related issues already opened. You might do a quick search to make sure none of them duplicate your problem. If they do, you can just vote and add your specific comments. _____________________

No offense intended but I fail to see how a bunch of PR bullshit has to do with fixing bugs. The specific bug I'm talking about right now is the bug of Second Life interfering with ATi's GPU preferences. I'm sorry Nate. Didn't mean any disrespect with that. I completely understand as I myself am suffering from a bug that seems to be at a very low priority. But with all the reports of people's inventories being wiped out, I feel bad for trying to push the bug I suffer from since it is more of an inconvenience at this point. |
