wondering about status of the Virtual Builders Studio

I'm trying to find information about the status of an old building tool called Virtual Builders Studio. I see that the creator was, in late 2007, trying to sell his business and island. There was/is an associated website from which I'm getting emails regarding a private message having been posted there, which is the reason for my search. I'm trying to find out what has happened, if it's all just been dropped for lack of any business buyer. Wondering if the email that I received is just a phishing scam or what.

Looks like the creator was around until October 2008, based on his last login to the forums here (found by looking at his profile here).

I just want to find a way to get removed from the website because of all the garbage that's being posted there. There are no delete account buttons or anything.
