I went through the age verification process a couple of times to see if I had to try again, and of course it went through alright. Well, I just tried to get into an adult event on second life, and it still gave me the boot
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. |

Have you relogged and set your preferences as indicated at http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:Setting_your_maturity_preferences? Yup. I made sure to check that out and switch it over, but I'm still getting booted from the events... |

Yup. I made sure to check that out and switch it over, but I'm still getting booted from the events... I see, though, your account is very new. Several places use scripted security devices that detect your avatar's creation date and, if it's recent -- which can be anything from a couple of days to a month, depending on how the device is set -- it boots you off the parcel. People do this to stop troublemakers whom they've banned from just creating a new account and turning up again to create more trouble 10 minutes later. Which is, of course, no help to bona fide new residents. If you're actually managing to TP to the place and then finding yourself booted out a few seconds later, I bet that's what's happening. If that is the case, you might try contacting the owner of the establishment and explaining the problem. Or going somewhere more hospitable, of course. |
