Does anyone know if there is actually a working phone support # for Australians? I've already asked SL and they can't give me a woking #.

I thought there must be some other Australians in the same boat.. so I'm posting here for any helpful information at all as I'm desperately trying to get back my proper account and phone support is the only way..

Okay, so what I've heard on the grape vine is that phone help is ONLY for premium members, and only in the US so far because of the server locations.

But i wont spear on it. You know what's REALLY stupid though... Bloody France is getting server stations before we are... I went to france once, and I dont see why they need SL servers, all the buildings are small and squishy and simply wouldn't have enough prims.

As far as I know, there are no phone support numbers for anywhere outside the U.S. Even when the LL dept is in the U.K., and you get to speak to someone here, you still have to call the U.S. number, which automatically routes you to the U.K. dept.

However, doesn't Australia have any of those very cheap international phone call systems? From the U.K., we can phone the U.S. cheaper than we can phone people here - it's *very* cheap - and there are no membership costs - just sign up an use. I use an outfit called "18866" and I only pay for the calls - nothing else.

We do, definantly, but I think it's more of a demographic thign as to what countried you can get those acrds for. example: Most of the people in my town are indian, and most fo the stores owned by indian people, so there are more tele cards for asian countries than european countries and the US.

You can dial U.S. toll-free numbers from anywhere in the world using Skype, for free (you do not have to have 'Skype Credit'). To dial SL billing support, simply dial: +18002941067

As a previous poster said, you can only get technical support via phone if you have a premium account. I would give you the number for it, but LL has cleverly blocked basic accounts from even viewing it.

SL also provides international billing support directly in several countries, but regrettably not in Australia:

Local Toll-Free numbers ------------

France: 0805.101.490
Germany: 0800.664.5510
Japan: 0066.33.132.830
Portugal: 800.814.450
Spain: 800.300.560
UK: 0800.048.4646
