Every parcel tells you the maximum amount of prims it can hold. This is not hidden.
It is right below the simulator privilege usage.

In About Land (Objects tab), look for "Primitives parcel supports". This is the prim limit for parcel.
If the same resident or group owns more than one parcel in the same region, "Simulator primitive usage" will show totals for all parcels owned by the resident/group, in this region.
A parcel's prim limit depends on the size of the parcel and the value of "Region Object Bonus Factor": - prim limit can be changed by making the parcel smaller or larger - if you are on a private estate, with appropriate estate manager/owner permissions, increasing the Region Object Bonus Factor will increase the prims available to each parcel, but keep in mind that: * Region Object Bonus Factor is set at Region level; changing it will affect ALL parcels in the Region * A Region has a fixed limit of 15,000 prims (3750 for OpenSpace sims). If Region Object Bonus Factor is greater than 1.00, the region limit will be reached before all the parcels have used their prim limit.

The Prim limit for any given parcel on a normal (not openspace) sim is:
((Parcel size) / 65536) * 15000) * Simulator Object Bonus
rounded down. (This means that it's common to lose 1 prim off the total for each parcel you create.)
Remember though that the total prim limit for a given RESIDENT is calculated per sim, not per parcel. In other words, if someone owns two parcels in the same sim, the above formula can be used to calculate the prim limit for each, but in practice they may choose to use all those prims on just one of the parcels.
Also, the total number of prims available in a sim is always 15000, regardless of how you set the Simulator Object Bonus. If you set the Bonus you are expected to have arranged for the required number of prims to be free. (Eg, if you have a sim which is 50% empty water, you can set the Simulator Object Bonus to 2.0 to use all the prims on the remaining 50%.)

Another factor: If you just split the sim into new parcels, and they are all still owned by the same group or individual, the total prims available will still equal that of the sim. But that "Primitives parcel supports" stat will correctly reflect each parcel.
