Hi -

I'm trying to purchase land, but my lindens are limited. How do I resolve this? I want to buy approximately $300.00usd in lindens, I have a premium paypal account, but I still get an error. :(

Thanks

How many days has it been since your first billing transaction with LL?

Check this page to view the monthly limits:

If you haven't exceeded the limit relevant to the number of days since first transaction, what error message are you receiving?

If you have an ebay account you buy L$. There are many trustworthy sellers there you can buy L$ and they will put it into your SL account.

SLExchange.com also sells Lindens. I used them to purchase Lindens until my time elapsed enough purchase them directly from SL.

Bad idea. How do you tell the 'trustworthy' ones from the not so trustworthy ones? If you happen to purchase from someone who used a stolen credit card, LL will reclaim not only the amount of L$ you purchased, but a 50% additional fee on top of that. The equivalent of 450USD, in the OP's case.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

Tarina, I've heard so many horror stories about buying L$ on eBay, I would NEVER do it.

Instead, I buy my L$ from SL Exchange. If you have a business account with PayPal, you can use their Mass Pay feature to transfer large amounts of $US to SL Exchange for a very small fee.

SL Exchange has far better support than LL, too. I've always been helped quickly and courteously there.

Thanks for the SL Exchange recommendations. Now, the Lindens I purchase on slexchange.com go into my SL account - not in my SL Exchange account, right?

Thanks again for all the help!

When you but Lindens at SLEX they go into your SLEX account. Then you need to go Inworld to a SLEX ATM and make a withdrawal. The SLEX ATMs are everywhere, I even have one on my property. The website will give you a list of locations.

You don't have to go in world to transfer them, because you can withdraw them from the SLEx website too. *smiles* And as said, they have some excellent customer support!

I guess I was lucky. If you buy from a person that has been on ebay for a while you wont be rooked.

I did it twice before my trial was up, the exchange rate was just a small amount over what LL has.

I will tell you a horror storie about SLexchange. I had 2000L go missing and no one seems to be able to help me.

SOOO we all have issues with each avenue.
