Intermittent, involuntary shape changes

Over the last few days, my fiancé has been experiencing a bit of a problem with his avatar. Occasionally, it sort of gets turned into some strange cousin of Jay Leno's, with a giant, protruding jaw. ;P
Its sort of like a Ruth-issue, but its not quite behaving the same way as far as I can see. For one thing, it looks like its just some of the shape that changes, the rest is recognizably his shape. Rebaking usually doesn't help. Switching to another shape sometimes helps, but more often than not that shape also ends up being affected. Logging out and logging back in also doesn't help every time. What has helped on a few occasions is switching from one skin to another, but it doesn't solve it every time.
What could be behind this sort of odd behaviour?

Someone else had this issue too with male shapes...
I don't remember there being any resolution on it.
I propose we call this new syndrome Leno-itis

Yeah, I realized it must be a general bug and not just something with my fiancé when I just now ran into a customer whose hair didn't fit any longer because his face was all deformed. ;P
Do you know if a bug report has been filed?

I had this problem when I was first developing male shapes for my store ...
in 2005.
So Id say its been around a while.

Oh, yikes. And did it just end up going away after a while for you?
Its so strange that I'd run into two people with the issue within a matter of days, makes it seem as if something has happened recently.
Or just bad luck, I guess. But either way, its quite a nuisance.

Or just bad luck, I guess. But either way, its quite a nuisance. no .. i only use male shapes when developing shapes to sell, so it wasn't an issue that was persistant. |

Yep I got Jay Leno-itis a few weeks back I ended up having to re-tweek the face on my AV. There doesn't seem to be any solid fix for it other than the aforementioned. Just chalk it up on the growing list of bugs that eventually will grind SL to a screaming halt.
