Deleting Premium Account Questions

Has anyone transfered a premium account to new account and deleted their premium account?
What did they do and what was reason for it?

You can't transfer an account. You can downgrade it to a basic one or you can delete it altogether and start anew... which would be stupid, but to each his own.

I've know people who've killed their avs to get away from situations they managed to get into … either a business transaction gone bad or an emotional situation that they did not know how to handle.

Almost two years ago I canceled Pie's account, a premium account since 7 days after birth, and transfered everything transferable to a new alt. Everything that was no transfer I left in inventory.

At that time, it was very specifically stated in the TOS that an account could be reactivated within 90 days and retain it's name, tho no promises were made concerning inventory. You didn't even need to contact support, there was just a link on your account page that said "Re-activate Account" Having just checked the current TOS, I see no reference made to that still being true.

On day 89, Pie re-activated. Inventory in tact.

My reasons for canceling Pie were vast, even tho I never actually left SL. Addiction, as they say, is a horrible thing. Mostly tho, the reasons can be summed up in 3 words:

Drama, drama, drama.

But I missed Pie, who had stepped into this world so wide-eyed and full of wonder, and even tho my alt had made a life for itself, I felt at that end of it all that I was lying to and denying my true self. If I were Amish, I might call this time Rumspringa.

When Pie came reborn back into the world, it certainly felt like a baptism of some sort. And now I am certain, no matter how much I bitch and complain about this place, I'm here til they pull the plug.

I think account reactivation via the website was removed towards the end of 2006.

During summer 2006, your inventory would be lost when an account had been cancelled thirty days. It stated this on the website, and a friend of a friend managed to prove this when she cancelled (as a result of drama, drama, drama) and reactivated about thirty-five days later. She's since deleted her account again and apparently gone for good this time.

I know a few people who abandoned their - premium - main in favour of a - basic - alt, but they did keep the premium account around, mostly because of the L$500/week stipend.

One actually did delete her old premium account because she never used it anymore, in spite of all my pleading and begging . It had a 1024m² free tier applied to it .

I just was given year membership from friend with this account. I have few really close friends who've been incredibly kind to me that I would miss. I am bit torn what my options are but I got upset enough this week I seriously contemplated it.
Its not that I dislike being here, nor do I want to stop creating just some unpleasant stuff happen and I was pondering leaving all recognizable accounts and just fading off to sunset and refocusing on what I enjoy here.
Thanks for the advise. I don't know what I am going to decide but I think in future I just be more careful around certain people especially when I am tired and not feeling well.
It like I really don't want more drama, nor do I want to participate in it any more but so hard sometimes to not get caught up in it.

Kill off an alt or 2 perhaps instead and make a new main, who is premium, downgrade FD, write his password somewhere safe, clear his friends lists and let him sleep till the drama people have faded away or forgotten

Man the drama has reached ridicoulous degrees now I am upset with the biggest land contributor to my group

I figure I got these options in resolving the problem but to apologize in the situation would mean that I don't count and basically say walk all over me....
(1) the "Saint" option - I could apologise to people involved, explain situation, ask their forgiveness, and suggest that whilst It might happen in the future, it's not deliberate maliciousness on my part...
2) the "Peace" option - I could tell them that you were at a very low point, that you're not interested in feuding, and that I am here to create only...
3) the "Absence" option - I could do as that I have discussed with few friends already intimated - pack up my land here and move to a secret spot somewhere else, to create quietly and play with prims, testing how much you've learnt, and staying away from the problem and everyone associated with it...
(5) the "War" option - I could fire off salvos in my blog, and other peoples blogs, name names, tell people off, get on a soapbox and shout your anger to the skies
Create a bunch of t-shirts say I hate so and so and build tools of war. Move up to creating weapons and grieving and make my enemies miserable and dedicate myself to being revengeful warlord....but this would take lot of work and I don't know if my friend would help me script grieving weapons.
Being a flawed human I went off little on this one to defend myself because I felt everyone was against me around the stupid drama.
6) the "Foetal" option - I could whine and moan about how it's all too much, and curl up into a ball for the next six months...
Something I am very good doing I literally spent years feeling sorry for myself in real life, curled up in ball, sleeping and feeling sorry for myself convince the world and all that is in sucks the big one.
(7) the "Status Quo" option - ignore what happened, make textures, make prims, and when they happen to come over here (I'm not sure they do actually?), then wait and see what they say first.
Probably do all the above in some form but never apologize or forgive and keep to myself focusing on what I love and be extremely suspicious of anyone new
9) Eat and Drink a lot of high calorie crap, pass out for days.
But this could be similar to option
6) the "Foetal" option
10.) Mope but Create combo of option 6 Foetail and Status quo.
11.) Be well as I can be and know I have friends and forget the rest.
12) Just make tinies, flowers and stop talking about any more crap about this regardless of how I feel or what others think.
13) pay for therapy sessions.

I'd go with 11. Hang out with people who make you happy.Friends are not supposed to make you feel miserable.

Yeah 11 is good. Then I don't have to lose years worth of membership fees,etc.
There was the hire gay hookers & escorts and get distracted option but that wouldn't work too well for me so I didn't put it down. LOL
