It's happened about 5 times now - just for a few seconds - 3 different sims - it also happened to someone I was talking to twice.
Is it griefing or glitch?

It's probably the old "head up the ass" issue that pops up now and then. Annoying but usually doesn't last long.

Marta....I'm not sure about the technical aspects....someone will enlighten you on that....it happens to most of us at one time or another.....but just look at it as a great conversation starter when you are among strangers.

Oh i'ts a known issue? Yep, it's an older bug, stopped for a while, but it sneaked back in: http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-248 "Inexplicable folding of Avatars such that they are walking around with their heads up their arses" |

It's happened about 5 times now - just for a few seconds - 3 different sims - it also happened to someone I was talking to twice. Is it griefing or glitch? ![]() Speaking of bizarre glitches: Last night, I was strolling the streets of Zindra for the first time since the continent opened when I got an IM from a friend of mine, through her alt account, cursing SL. It turned out she was the latest victim of the "got kicked off-grid and now can't log back on" issue. I TP'd over to her place, we chatted for a bit, and I confirmed that I did not see her main avatar online at all - not on radar, not on the friends list, or anywhere. Concluding that any zombie avatars preventing her from logging on were now gone, I told her to go ahead and try logging her main again. She agreed, logged off her alt, and... Nothing. Several minutes went by, and I get an e-mail from her stating that now she couldn't log *either* account on! I scanned the grid status blog looking for indication of grid problems that would explain this, and unsurprisingly found nothing. She suggested she'd try the "official" viewer (she had been using Greenlife Emerald) and, five seconds later, she was online again! However, even though she was on using the "official" viewer (and my Emerald radar confirmed her viewer was "?" , her name still had " Emerald)" appended to it - and I wasn't the only one seeing that! On a hunch, she logged off again, and re-logged, going back to her Greenlife viewer, and had no problem at all logging in this time.I'm still scratching my head over that one! _____________________

Is anyone else getting the Inadvertent TP bug? You remember that one; back in 2007, you'd TP into a place and then without so much as touching the keyboard or moving the mouse, you'd get the ol' "whooosh" noise and off you'd go again.
I'm getting that one all the time recently...ahhhh, nostalgia! |

It is a subtle message telling you to bend over and kiss it goodbye.

I always canceled the second one when it happened, though, so I wasn't taken away. It has been a while since the last time that happened to me, thankfully. |

That happened to me for the first time a couple of weeks ago--it repeated several times over about half an hour. Hasn't happened since.
The really creepy thing---and maybe this was related to something I was wearing?---was that there seemed to be a spinal bone visible inside my, er, waist. Hips. Whatever. Gross! _____________________
