Several people have asked about this, so here's the answer.
In April, an article in Massively.com cited a Knowledge Base article and other sources, saying that any depiction/mention/speech of social alcohol consumption would be rated Adult, and not allowed on the Mainland (except for Zindra).
"...advertise or make available any content that is suggestive of any (even mildly) sexual or violent themes, or references to social drug or alcohol usage."
When I looked at (what I think was) the KB article, it didn't say that (anymore?).
I filed a support ticket asking if that was still the rule, and the official response was: No, "Alcohol references are not adult."
The ticket was handled by Mathew Linden today (7/9).

"...advertise or make available any content that is suggestive of any (even mildly) sexual or violent themes, or references to social drug or alcohol usage." That was referring to the early versions of KB6010, and that restriction applied to *PG* land. There was an uproar about it (which you may have missed because of the much larger uproar about the adult content restrictions) and it was eventually changed. It is no longer even true for PG regions.
