Hi all,

I had the weirdest thing today, I went down to my land which is an L shape with just a tiny hut and few bits and pieces. I have masses of Linden trees on it and most of them where wiped out, I don't think it is from being to near someones border either as they have gone from all over.

Does anyone have any idea what could have done this?

I have 351 prims with 160 odd spare and have the land open public sandpit use.

PS:

More weirdness, I can't rezz LL trees, I just tried, my object count goes up but no trees.

False alarm: I was logged in a long time to re-logged on in the new RC, got forced to update that to a newer viewer to log on and now my trees are back.

Ian, I can't answer about where they went, but as to why you can't rez any, perhaps just check that you are actually on Linden ground. I had the same thing happen, and stood there watching my prim count rise as no trees appeared.. I forgot I was standing on a megaprim built at ground level over a dug-out cave.....when I went under to look all the trees were down there, hiding out underground, smiling sheepishly.

Thanks Tiffy,

I don't know what it was, I was on land and in the RC, it's fine now I did the forced upload, and I now have some Linden grasses growing through my huts floor, which I like. :)

you may have inadvertently turned off the view trees thing (can't recall exactly what the key combination is) it is in the advanced menu

and by relogging, it basically reset it back to normal

(it is advanced, render um something, then trees.. heh)

Grin..you added your editty false alarm bit while I was off answering you, so I thought my reply might sound a bit redundant (these things happen)...but, knowing ra, someone will glean a bit of something useful from it....cough keeptheforums cough...
