Hi, I'm noticing suddenly that I can see the hovertext of far away objects, whereas up till now hovertext used to fade when I zoomed out. Is it just me?

Weird, I was just wondering about that because for me it does the opposite - it seems to fade way earlier than it did before. *scratches head*

Noticed this happening when the "avatar rendering cost" option was enabled. Hover text was visible right out to my draw distance.

I don't think this is really a new issue. I've noticed it for over a year. Depending on how I move my camera around, I occasionally see text from objects several dozens of meters away. It's random.

I can't login right now to test it, but could it be related to the size of the prim holding the floating text?

That's how it's worked in the past, sticking the text into a small prim was a way to keep text bleeding under control. But the distances do seem to have changed recently, it seems like I don't need to walk around as much to read some things.

Saves the fingers for that scripting then :)
