From what I understand they are configured for a certain amount per sqm. Once you get to or below that they will swoop in.
So it depends on the swooper. _____________________

The base on the list is L$3.4 right now, so I'm guessing at least one of the bot runners is setting his bots to grab anything at L$3.2 a meter.

Once or twice I've sold land at just below the cheapest listed, to attract bots - either because I wanted to lower tier before a cutoff date or I needed cash and spare tier to buy land in my home sim. Sometimes it's sold within a minute.
So bots are useful if a quick sale is more important than the cash value. _____________________

...but don't do what I did once and sell group land hoping to get the money quick... Sell it to yourself *first* and then set it for sale ![]() Good advice, though you might have to juggle the tier around depending on how much you have. Waiting for the group funds can be a real bummer. The base on the list is L$3.4 right now. Wow. Pretty soon it will be nearly the same thing to just abandon it to save the hassle and move on. And I am getting ready to sell a bunch of land. Oh well. _____________________

I triggered a bot frenzy selling all my mainland at $3.25 today, was quite amusing re-pricing parcels & watching them flock in

Probably the same reason the tiny mall owner on my old sim, with the 130m tall floating communist chinese mega prim is asking $30k for his 896m parcel. No idea what that reason is though
![]() A lot of my land was waterfront too, really nice PG sim, well it was nice... adfarmers got in on day 1 as soon as I started to sell my 55k m ![]() _____________________

This thread has me flying around looking at the prices on yellow-mapped areas.
This has called my attention to something I have encountered THREE times in the last five minutes.. (!) ... HOW dumb does one have to be to set land for sale and then leave a security device running so that anyone who comes to look gets kicked off? That's right, this just happened to me on three different parcels (different sims even) in the last ten minutes. _____________________
