Multiple Attachments on each spot.

I thought it would be cool if you could attach more then one attachment to each part of your body.

Like have (left hand) then in left hand would be (left hand (A)(B)(C)) and so on.

Could it happen?

You could link sets of attachments into single objects - if you had the permissions.
Make a number of combinations like that and wear whatever combination suited.

If the idea is to propose *changing* the agent to be able to attach multiple things on each attachment point, I'd be strongly against that because of all the content that would break as a result (need all new semantics for attachment points in scripts, couldn't attach one thing to automatically detach another, etc). It would be much simpler to just add more unique attachment points but to be honest that would be *way* down on my list of priorities; the main argument in favor of it being that maybe, by accident, they'd fix some of the brokenness of current attach/detach operations.

High on mine too, I'd like to wear a few rings on my fingers, aswell as my red fingernails. Also like to wear lots of chains around my neck, a few belts around my waist, while wearing a prim skirt.

it's a fun thought but could you imagine the script increase there would be..if you think it's laggy now it would be alot added to an already laggy sl..
but yes i don't know how many times i wish i had extra spots at times hehehehe

I was tempted to post "LL sidestepped the issue by introducing ARC" earlier :).

If they ever automated rendering as an imposter once you go out of the green then multiple attachments aren't of much practical use. Rendering as a 2D sprite for most people while being able to wear three rings or looking normal with only one ring wouldn't much of a choice :p.

(And adding an attach point per finger rather than multiple attachments per hand would probably be better anyway)

Yes! I just settled on a weapon worn on hands from 5 points to just one,
still cool but meh 1 attachment pt per hand is boring.

LL can change the code to limit the amount of scripts that can be active while attached to an avatar.

More attachment points does not mean more scripts. The scripts I run since 2004 have increased from 1 to 2. AO & Mystitools. And these have nothing to do with attachment points.

I believe there is/was a jira on this. I would love it too. It looks silly when I put something on where it doesnt belong and have to edit it over to the right spot because it is already in use. At least it does when I move.

prim count doesn't seem to affect arc at all, just the textures on the prims...

but a tail mount would be great for many of us. I know many girls that hate the fact they can't wear some outfits in their normal avatars due to prim attachments taking the pelvis and stomach slots (preventing them from having their tails)

I'd like to introduce you to my friend, the "pec".

The left and right "Pec" attachments do not move with the breasts, as many content creators beleive. The so-called "Pec" attachments are poorly named, and should probably be called "Abs".

Put simply, the torso is made up of 3 parts. The Chest, the Abdomen, and the Pelvis. Each of these torso segments has 2 attachment points.

Chest: "Chest" & "Spine"
Abdomen: "Left Pec" & "Right Pec"
Pelvis: "Pelvis" & "Stomach"



As I have shown many Nekos and Furs who come into my shop for genitals, the poorly-understood "Pec" attachment points are actually superbly positioned for a "small of the back" attachment, like a tail, or a middle-torso attachment like a high belt or a prim corset.

Give it a try. It may not be a PERFECT fit, and it'll take a little getting used to, but 9/10 animations, the pecs turn out to be pretty "tail-like, and keep the tail from perfectly adhering to the butt, lending more realism to it in terms of "mind of it's own" movements.
