Hiya All, I need some advice.
I am looking to purchase a domain name but was wondering if there are any out there that have website building tools included.
I really don't want to build a website elsewhere and then transfer the domain to it.
I am a complete novice when it comes to this sort of thing, I'd also like it to be relatively affordable and prefer .com or .net
Any suggestions (preferably from people who are already using or have previously used these type of services)
Thanks

I use AN Hosting for this completely unrelated project of mine. It has this neat little admin page that you log into where you can install and uninstall various types of website templates like a wordpress blog, a store front, a forum board... etc. You can order the domain from them too. The tech support is fairly responsive by email. Anyways I found them by looking at the wordpress site which recommended several hosts. http://wordpress.org/hosting/

Godaddy.com has a tool that you can use to get a website going. I forget the name of it. I didn't use it when I got my domain names, but I probably should have. I forget the cost, but it was fairly cheap. Around $10 or so. Godaddy's prices in general seem pretty good to me. Check them out before you buy.

Not sure where you are, but in the UK there are a number of web hosting companies many of whom offer free web building tools to their customers. 1and1 is the biggest in the UK I think, and they are very big in Europe as well (German company). Not recommending them specifically but take a look at www.1and1.co.uk to see the sorts of things that are generally available.

GoDaddy.com will allow you to pay monthly and their packages start about around $4US a month for the basic. They are currently running a special on domain registrations for $1.99 for the first year as well.

The last thing I want to do is discuss politics in the forums so I wont. I'll just say that you may want to took a look at the history of the blogs of Go Daddy and it's CEO. It might make a difference depending on where you stand on some issues. Pretty controversial.

any host out there will have some form of website building tools, course you can do alot of it in MS office (or similar) and just save it as html
and godaddy kinda sucks, i used them for years, but constant issues with the FTP services, their sometimes downright rude tech support and the fact i found a much better deal makes me push away from them
the server im on now is like 1$ more a month, has 100x the services, and lets me do pretty much anything i want, including running my own shoutcast server, but that gets into the realm of webgeek

All my domains are hosted by doteasy.com, for FREE. You pay for the domain, either yearly or for 5 years. It has a complete range of web-building tools, but you get a site ready to run from the initial wizard.
Hope this helps
