Ok...here's an interesting glitch I noticed last night....anyone else noticed this....???

I went into edit appearance to work on one of my characters and the entire time the eyeballs were popping in and out like some kind of freakish lidless blink. LOL I've never seen that particular glitch but it made it kind of hard to edit the eyes as the eyeballs were constantly 'flickering'. Bizarre.

Also....I noted that when I wear a shape that I've had stashed in my inventory for a while.... the eyes are way too huge and anime. Someone had asked me a while back while I was mentoring.....why her shape didn't look the same and I poo poo'd the idea that it could just suddenly alter itself. Now I'm not so sure. I checked a few of my shapes to see.....and sure as shit...all their eyes looked as if they'd been up staring at their PC's too long~!! Big doe like anime eyes.....and I never make my avatar eyes big....I always go for a more human looking face. So this just boggles my mind. The rest of the shapes seemed ok.....but tiny nuances I may not necessarily notice since I hadn't worn them in a while..... but the eyes....OMG too funny!!!

I noticed this with my own av as well as a few friends. It wasn't specific to any particular body part - in one case it was mesh hair, in my case my eyes were reverting to dark constantly (IE: a dark sheen over the entire eye). In all cases they had to do with slider settings.

I tried fixing this by going in to appearance mode, but the problem kept coming back.

Finally, someone suggested that I revert to the default female shape, then take on my original shape again, and that appeared to fix everything. Have not had problems since.

Yes, I had the sinister black eyes thing happen to me a while ago. Took me a while to work out how to fix it. It brought back chilling childhood memories of an episode of Sapphire and Steel when Joanna Lumley turned and looked to camera, with sudden and terrifying jet black eyes. This sent 8 year old Max diving behind the sofa, Dr Who style, and figured large in his dreams for ages afterwards. Poor kid.

For those unfamiliar with Sapphire and Steel, it was a preposterous (in hindsight), late 70s sci-fi series starring Joanna Lumley and David McCallum. Apologies for the digression.

Right...ok... lol wasn't talking about the sinister black eyes (easily fixed by just wearing different eyes) but anyway....thanks for the in-put. LOL

(how to take a well articulated question and come up with an an answer that has absolutely nothing to do with the question asked) Pie anyone?

It's not a huge issue...more funny than anything else. But I have to laugh because it's been my observation soooo many times on these forums (and many others as well) that no matter how carefully worded something is......people will always mis-read it or choose to respond with something that isn't even in the ball park of what the original poster intended. LOL This is NOT a slight to anyone....I come here because I love you guys.......and I know a lot of times it's all just goofing off..... but it is something I've noticed in sooooo many public forums. It makes me wonder about the stability of written communication over all. This is just me being phylisophical and needing more coffee in a big way.

I blame Aki. ;) The merest mention of black eyes and I was off...
