Anyone know where the best place to get some convincing salt water fish and plants might be. I've been looking at heaps of places and finding a lot of flat looking pictures of fish applied to wafer thin flat flexi prims, which look ok viewed from the side as in a tank, but from above as in the ocean..not so hot.
A couple of weeks ago while visiting a park or similar I saw some 3D fish in a pond which were incredibly realistic. Of course I can't remember the location of the park, and I did note the creator's name, but I've now lost the note, so not a lot of help there. It did however prove to me that convincing 3D fish are available.
Plants also, I've searched a lot of places which have advertised marine plants but when I get there it's pretty much only land stuff.
Got any advice anyone..
Thanks..Perre

You can find some nice Linden water plants in your library folder that are only 1 prim and look better than any prim plants but I have no idea where you can find fish.

Yep. I've been using brown and green kelp from the Linden selection, they look pretty good - in fact better than most, as you say - however I was hoping to find a little bit of variety..seaweed for starters.
Also most fish I've seen are tropical, and the environment I've designed is a more cold water - west coast of Scotland - so they look a little (lot) out of place.

Check Supa Shang's profile for his store. (I'm thinking it might be the one Ann mentioned, but I'm not sure.) I think it's in Melanthia. Unfortunately, I'm not sure they'll have what you're looking for. As far as fish go, it's mainly tropical and koi. If you DO find something more temperate, like salmon, please tell me!

Go to Second Wildlife, and right next to it on a pier is the fish store ... Second Fish? Second Acquatics? DAMN I cannot remember the exact name, but they have a lot of great fish, plus the very slender smart fish, that are for very narrow (wall) acquariums.
The fish are not cheap, but they're very good. Last time I was there they were all displayed swimming in acquariums.

Splash Aquatics do lovely work. I have a few of their marine critters and plants. The big kelp is great, and their roaming humpback whale is brilliant!
Supa Shang also does great critters, with the advantage that his are often copyable. I have a selection of his critters populating my marine park also.

have you thought about making your own plants? after all they should be fairly easy, texture on flexy prims
as for the fish, I wish I could remember the place I saw some nice 3d smart fish
try searching for smart fish in slex, or fish in game (if you have not already)
the place I saw I think was called something fish, or fish something (something being the name I can not recall)

Smartfish are from Something Fishy.
ETA I agree Splash Aquatics is really good - I love our 49-prims-in-one lobster! Another great thing is Ante Flan's coral and grass emitter package - the coral is incredible and the grass emitter gives you natural-looking underwater ground coverage for one prim.

From: FD Spark Bliss Garden last time I went there had this really cool 1 prim coral reef like rezzer and several other things for underwater I went over to Bliss Gardens today and they do have some nice stuff, however something very odd happened. I was wandering about the various marine plants generally waiting on textures to rez (a problem common with most garden centres I've visited) when all of a sudden I fall through the floor (it's a sky box) and found myself falling into this amazing place. A spectacular scene of huge cliffs and giant waterfalls with houses perched on the faces of the cliffs. A stunning creation definately worth a visit. Try teleporting to Bliss Gardens (137, 84, 200) that will place you hopefully mid air just below the garden centre (remember to wear a flight feather). Enjoy!!

Along similar lines...
Anyone know good places to get marine accessories, such as the things one might find piled up along a dock? I've checked a lot of the regular places and gotten some, but I'm still looking for other options.

I live on a river and would actually like to get some salmon (with dimension, not just flat prims) that are just swimming upstream (and preferably slipping downstream a little) all the time. I suppose I could make them, but I'm lazy. The ones I've seen swim on circles, and no real salmon or trout does that!
Anyone seen anything like that?
Oh, and Mari, I noticed that Kate McLaglen has a nautical decor store outside her main place now - heavy on rugs and pictures, but there's some other stuff too.
