Apperantly, I have been muting friends and strangers. I have no idea the scope of my mass mute. How can I tell who I have muted so I can unmute them? And is this only available for people on friends list?

Hit View at the top, then Mute list, anyone muted will show in there!

When you right click on someone to read thier profile, or send them an IM, watch out of of the options its easy to get accidently is "mute".
