how to insert a picture on the forum

i'm trying to start a new thread on forum and i try to insert some pictures but everytime i'm trying that is not allowing me to do it can someone please give me some tips how to do it?

I use an outside hosting service (Photobucket for me), and then copy the pictures URL with IMG tags and post it here. That might sound confusing but it would be

do u use mozilla or explorer? i have some problem with mozzilla it is not showing me the option to insert picture. and sorry to ask what are img tags?

You can also set options in the User Control Panel, aka UserCP, to let you have a few editing controls, one of which is the image control.

To do that, click the UserCP link at the top left of the forum display, then

Click the Edit Options link over on the left, then

Scroll all the way down, till you see the Message Editor Options, then

Select Standard Editor, Extra formatting options, then

Click Save.

Then when you edit a post you can paste in an image url, highlight it, and click the image control above the editing box, which will enclose the url in the img tags.

Just click the quote button of this post and you will see the example of how this image works with the IMG tags and image link most need to have like .jpg or .png or .gif at the end of the link to work on these forums..

Also, some image storage sites, like for example Photobucket, will copy a properly formatted image url enclosed in img tags to the copy buffer, ready for pasting into the edit box.
