http://www.massively.com/2009/02/02/robin-harper-to-leave-linden-labMy very first post ever to the SL forums was to ask to have a rock that was floating in the sky over Linden Land near my property removed. Robin removed it. So that's how I always think of Robin... Rock Mover. Best of luck

Was she behind the eye-ball-in-the-hand logo?
Because I do NOT get that at all.

Cory gone, Philip no longer in charge, Robin leaving... This truely marks the end of the 'original' Linden Lab. I'm not that suprised to be honest. I really hope the 'new regime' can keep some of the old spirit alive, and doesn't turn Linden Lab into the usual thirteen a dozen profit oriented company. I wish Robin all the best in what ever next perceived impossible challenge she takes on.

Wow. Robin will be sorely missed. She's definitely one of my favorite people at LL.
I gotta start making some new friends over there. All the Lindens I know best keep leaving. Is it me?
Oh, and Alvaro, yes, I believe Robin was behind the logo. It's meant to signify that SL is the meeting between what you can envision and what you can create. We see with our eyes, and we create with our hands. Put the two together, and you can realize whatever you can imagine. Make sense?
The symbol itself is ancient, and has appeared in many cultures throughout history, with a wide variety of meanings.

Farewell Robin, you gave LL a human face for me.
I wish you the best in that exciting world called RL.

From: Chosen Few Oh, and Alvaro, yes, I believe Robin was behind the logo. It's meant to signify that SL is the meeting between what you can envision and what you can create. We see with our eyes, and we create with our hands. Put the two together, and you can realize whatever you can imagine. Make sense? I appreciate the rationale for the logo. Still don't think it pulls it off successfully. Sorry to be negative. The thread calls out for something more sentimental. So I'll reach back into my old high school year book days and say... "I'm sorry Robin that we didn't get to know each other better. Maybe if we had been friends I could have steered you towards a better logo. Best of luck in your new job! Hugs!!!" From: Chosen Few I gotta start making some new friends over there. All the Lindens I know best keep leaving. Is it me? Yes. I blame you. Bastard! I know exactly what you mean. I know a few Lindens, but now I'm fresh out of vice presidents. Among the many things for which we have Robin to thank, she's the only reason there are still forums here at all. Honestly, it scares the hell out of me to think of LL now operating dangerous equipment without adult supervision.

From: SuezanneC Baskerville So.... does this mean this forum is going to go away? I would like to think no because they started moving user responses from the blog to the forum. On the other hand, they could get it into their heads that there's no need for a place that provides residents' answers...

From: SuezanneC Baskerville So.... does this mean this forum is going to go away? Oh, sorry: No. I didn't mean to start a scare. No, Robin was more effective than that, making the case for the Forums in such a way that I would expect it to stick.

Hey... I like the SL logo...
I think I met Robin once, briefly during a town meeting in the Linden Village. I miss those.
It's sad to see the original Lindens going their separate ways, but like all of us, I wish them the best of luck!

I was waiting to see if Robin gave a reason for her leaving, but the official blog post seems nonspecific.
Where's all the wild speculation!!!???!!!

Where's all the wild speculation!!!???!!! I heard that she's been asked to act as US Ambassador to the UN. She's pretty good at defusing hostilities...
