Is there a way to copy and paste "quote" text out of SL and into a word processing application; e.g., Notepad?

if you logged the conversation, you can simply go review it on your hard drive.
if you want to copy/paste, use Control + C for COPY after you highlight the text, then Control + V to paste the text.

I wish we could use the mouse RightClick option. I am an admitted mouse slave, I still don't know half the Windows keyboard shortcuts.

do you mean inworld chat? if so, yes. open the history inworld, highlight the text you want, and hit ctrl-c. then ctrl-v on a word doc.

Some popular keyboard shortcuts, there's tons more but some of the popular ones
Control + C = Copy Control + X = Cut Control + V = Paste Control + Z = Undo Control + Escape = Open Start Menu
Keyboards with Windows Key
• Windows Key+R: Run dialog box • Windows Key+M: Minimize all • SHIFT+Windows Key+M: Undo minimize all • Windows Key+F1: Help • Windows Key+E: Windows Explorer • Windows Key+F: Find files or folders • Windows Key+D: Minimizes all open windows and displays the desktop • CTRL+Windows Key+F: Find computer • CTRL+Windows Key+TAB: Moves focus from Start, to the Quick Launch toolbar, to the system tray (use RIGHT ARROW or LEFT ARROW to move focus to items on the Quick Launch toolbar and the system tray) • Windows Key+TAB: Cycle through taskbar buttons • Windows Key+Break: System Properties dialog box • Application key: Displays a shortcut menu for the selected item

It wouldn't have occured to me that my WinXP OS would accomplish the copy@paste external to SL. From: Cito Karu Some popular keyboard shortcuts, there's tons more but some of the popular ones

Highlight the text and choose Edit/Copy in SL.
Click in your computer application/notecard and choose Edit/Paste or just Paste.
You can also do the reverse, from computer/internet site to SL. Copy in computer or website, paste in SL somewhere...
Was that what you meant?
