Account showing negative USD value

Hi everyone, I just checked my account stats and it shows my L$ balance with
US Dollar balance: -US$26.44
in red underneath. I've never seen this before, does anyone know what it means?

Edit to say: OH. Sorry just read something on the blog saying that statements are running overdue, maybe that's why.

hmm well, do you have tier or premium due? If they can't get it that may be why. Groups with Pay dividends ticked that have their land deeded to their group have a payment taken but only like L$4. Sounds like they've tried to take a payment due & it's failed. If you pay in lindens it should clear.

It might be correct, but the last time I had that happen to me nothing of the sort was happening. It turned out that my bank suddenly blocked transactions with LL because they moved their billing over-seas. It happened to me again this month and I figured it was because my credit card had expired so I put in the new info. and it still hasn't worked. You might want to call your bank and make sure they havn't blocked the transaction.

Mine was negative this weekend too, but the tier charge went through when I purchased some L$.

Hoping like hell it's not my bank blocking anything because trying to talk to them is like asking for an audience with the Pope.
I just bought some L$ then checked my account. The L$'s have been credited to my SL account and now my USD balance is 0.00

If you're paying tier and you show a negative balance, it's because of delays in the billing system. Give it 24hrs, it will clear. Happens to me every month, so i'm use to it.
If your payment fails, you'll receive an email advising you.
If you haven't received an email sayiing the payment failed and you manually pay, you WILL be double billed.
Patience is a virtue, is all i can say.

Mine had been stuck at least 48 hours before I 'reminded' the system to bill me by making that L$ purchase. It was only a couple dollars worth. *shrug*

The negative balance can happen because their billing system and their collection system aren't always in perfect sync. Under normal circumstances you might see a brief window of negative balance if you have just been billed for membership or tier but their collection company hasn't gotten the money from you yet. If the negative balance lasts longer than a day it could mean that their collection company is having trouble billing you for some reason, and you should make sure that the bills from Second Life aren't being rejected for some reason.
