Nvidia Geforce 8400M GT

Hi i have a sony Vaio laptop, with Nvidia GeForce 8400M GT GPU with 256MB and I crash a lot when i am teleporting...does anyone else have this problem?
also i was wondering since the laptop description says it can hold up to 512MB is it possible to upgrade the video card on the laptop? to a different one like 8600 or will it only hold the 8400 video card...or can you even upgrade a video card on a laptop or just a PC?

Generally speaking laptops are not upgradeable. There are limited features that can be upgraded on some models but it has to be done by the manufacturer or manufacturer approved dealer or you violate your warranty. Components for laptops are often customized for the laptop manufacturer by the component manufacturer so if you take it to someone else you also might not like the results. I don't think you can upgrade the vcard in most laptops. If you can it will probably be comparatively very expensive compared to upgrading a vcard in a desktop.
