Anyone else noticed how "Logged In Last 60 Days"seems to have skyrocketed (1.4million) Is it out of proportion to old days when weh just hit 1million residents? When are we going to hit 10million? over Xmas some time I guess.

What does the "Logged In Last 60 Days" number represent?
Since the typical online number is around 30 to 50 k they are either counting each person every day they log in, or each person each time they log in. (30,000 X 60 = 1,800,000)
A much more usefull number would be number of different users who logged in in the last 60 days. I expect that number would be around double or tripple the usual online number.

From: Kitty Barnett That is what it's actually representing. So it's representing the alt that I had to abandon in OI because the poor thing couldn't get anywhere or work any of the stations. I wonder how many of the "last 60 days" count never made it out of OI/HI ?? LL may blog to ridicule crap stats by others, but I think that most metrics that they produce are also comical. Hopefully, they use real numbers internally to analyse the true picture. Although.... they do seem to be heavily into feeding happy-clappy stuff to the Love Machine.

I would imagine that number should be much higher now as people are only logging in for 12 minutes. Remember, these are statistics from the same firm that shows the same L$ trade volume for days when they were almost completely shut down as on days when they are mostly functional. Of course their data is unimpeachable. "No Linden Lab computer has ever made a mistake, or distorted information. In March it was at 1.7 million, and, averaging the figures quoted daily by LL this year, I get approx 1.5 million. In fact, if anything, it seems to be slowly dropping, as is the daily increase in new accounts. I think we'll hit 10 million accounts on October 14........

Hmm I had hose problems too I ended up just offereing my alt a tp to get him out, perhaps you can send him a LM if you can't login 2 at once. It seems silly, experienced residents have problems getting out of OI, in some ways we are probably boring newbies to death. And for some people dropping them straight in the deep end works, they get to see what it is worth learning for.

Maybe that 12 minutes represents the average time between relogs for freezes and crashes...

The reason I made the alt was to check out what the experience was currently for people that I might encourage to sign up for SL. The experience was not encouraging.
