The Wall Street Journal recently posted a list of "memorable" experiences you could share which actually included an outrageous "customized online game by Second Life" for dirt cheap!

Now, call me cheap but I'm not planning on spending $150,000 or even $750USD on gifts for my SL friends ( ... and don't ask me how they came up with those prices). I've made real life charitable donations on behalf of my SL friends and generally like to make fun little gifts, cards and year end photo albums for my pals. I'm thinking about maybe doing a Secret Santa gift giving party with my friends, where we draw random names in advance with a linden limit, but I'm not sure how I'll do that quite yet.
Personally the gifts really don't matter that much, but it is nice to gather with your virtual friends before everyone takes off for a busy season. Some folks may not do a lot in real life over the holidays, or it is a highly stressful time of the year, so it can be a nice opportunity to gather with their chosen virtual family and friends in SL.
Coming together to share a meal is a great way to celebrate the season in real life but unfortunately we don't quite have a realistic way to do that yet in SL. We do however, have the luxury to create and do things in innovative ways that would be much more difficult or even impossible in real life. Desmond recently shared his idea of "random acts of kindness" /327/e6/350184/1.html I'm curious to hear how you guys celebrate the season in Second Life and any interesting gift and celebratory ideas you may have.
