Stop Avi head from following mouse pointer?

How do I stop my avatar's head from following the mouse pointer onscreen? I thought I had solved this problem in the distant past (maybe I'm wrong?), but it seems to have returned again with the latest viewer update (or at least I'm noticing it again.)
Is there a way to stop this from happening?

It really depends on whether or not you're using an Animation Overrider, and the priorities that the animation creator assigned to each animation. Some animations completely override the default movements, including the head, while others let the head move freely according to the default (mouse-following) movements. When you're buying animations, be sure to test whether or not they override the head movements.

It is possible that some of the animations I have loaded in it have lower priorities. I just don't remember this being such a problem before. But I have made some changes to the animations I use, so maybe that is where it is coming from. Thanks for pointing this out!

I just don't remember this being such a problem before. But I have made some changes to the animations I use, so maybe that is where it is coming from. Thanks for pointing this out! I have to remind myself now and then too.  I have lots of static poses for clothes modelling and it drives me bananas when suddenly I realize my head is following my mouse around just because of the priorities in the poses.

If you use the Emerald viewer, you can stop it for real without animation kludges. Preferences, Emerald tab, page 1, Shields, turn off "broadcast camera focus point and pointer target".

Some animations lock the head, others do not.
For normal sitting poses, I tend to leave the head unlocked, allowing it to move. (It moves in different ways: following your mouse, and also pointing at whomever speaks, if you don't have that disabled.)

I'd call this a bug -- disabling others' ability to see where I'm looking shouldn't stop my head from turning when I cam. It would be better if they had a more specific control, as the normal viewer does over pointing the head to the speaker.
