i was wondering how the traffic rankings work... what determins the numbers. and does it matter if you or anyone else tp in and out all day

People will debate this to the end of the earth (or the end of traffic), but broadly it is based on the amount of time an avatar spends on a parcel - about one traffic point per minute per avatar.

The upshot of this is that if you want to have a high traffic ranking, the best thing to do is is sign up about 50 free accounts and leave them on your parcel all day (using anti-idle devices).

The actual calculations are rather complex, but in essence Snowman has it right. If i remember rightly, someone posted the mathematics in the forums a little while ago.

If you want to raise your numbers and not have campers, put your house or office above your business. When you're sitting at home relaxing, or entertaining friends, your presence adds to the traffic.
