Late, late last night, i needed to use a pose stand, so i pulled one out of my inventory and got the message that i am not allowed to rezz objects on that land. ( i own it! ) i also have PLENTY of prims left...( 116 to be exact )) so i know i wasn't at my limit or even close to it... anyone else having this happen?

It doesn't sound like it, but are you doing this over water?

I know that when you rez on water (like launching a boat), it ignores the water and acts like you are trying to rez on the ocean bottom. This is fine if you are looking straight down, but in normal view, it thinks you're trying to rez on land way off in the distance. (This is why I have nearly invisible boat launch barriers at Nautilus Harbor... the water is deep enough that it is nearly impossible to launch a boat from normal view.)

Assuming this is not the problem (because I doubt you are rezzing poseballs directly on water), have you tried rezzing somewhere else, like a sandbox?

And you aren't doing this on group-owned land, are you? Because if you aren't wearing your group tag, it thinks you are a stranger. (I'm getting this one a lot now that the Forum Cartel Hangout is around... I keep switching my group tag so I can rez there, and then I can't rez at my place because I forgot to switch back!)

Hmmm, very strange. Let us know if it fixes itself. If not, perhaps I can take a look and see if I notice anything wrong. :)

If you are not getting the parcel full error, then it's not the parcel. It's the asshat server bringing more sunshine to your day.... unless your land is set to group and you have the wrong group tag on, and your parcel is limited to groups building on it.

I used to think that the sun shone out of SL's ass.
My faith in that had been declining over the past months.
Now you've somewhat restored it.

Thank you :)

I have sometimes that I cannot drop items from my inventory on my land ("failed to...";). I 'solved' this by first rezzing a fresh cube, and drop the item on top of it. That always works.

Thanks for the cool tip! I have that 'failed to rezz' horror message all the time.
In fact last night it happened several times, ended up rezzing item outside on the ground, instead of on the floor inside the building and then moving it. Also worked, but annoying and useless if you're 300 metres up in the sky.

Thanks for the tips everyone... I logged in last night and after a few attempts was able to rezz things again.. it must have been the server. I haven't logged in yet today to see if it will work on the first attempt yet..*shrugs*

I get this a lot. It can be solved in a number of ways, but you may have to try several repeatedly to find the one that works at a given moment.

- rez a cube and drop item on top of it

- drop to a different part of the window (side or corner instead of center)

- change the camera angle/position (ctrl-arrow, ctrl-alt-arrow, ctrl-alt-shift-arrow)

When it's being really fussy, it can take me 10-20 tries to find the "sweet spot", but once I do, it continues to work just fine for the rest of the session.

We should note, though, that this does not fit Lexii's problem as she described it. The positioning problem gives the "failed to rez" error, but Lexii said she was being told she did not have permission. Barring the group or water problems, I'd say it's an asset server / account glitch.

Glad to hear it cleared up, Lexii. Hope it keeps working. :)
