Does traffic number refresh and start from cero every week?

In the land i can see the number of traffic to my land But suddenly today it goes down and start again.
Its normal?

Unless I'm very much mistaken, traffic is computed on a daily basis - something like number of visitor-hours (but not that, just something like that) - and it resets on a daily basis. Only shows you your traffic from the previous day.

2 days ago, my land showed 3000, yesterday showed 7700 and today it shows 600 only.
Also i think i never receive 7700 people on my land, so they obtain that number doing some formula, right?

I run security for a private island. As part of that I have a visitor tracker at the TP point. Average number of visitors per day vary from 300-500 with an average stay of 15-20 minutes in the sim. Trafic count is usually displayed at @18000 give or take 1k. Even given the max (500 visitors times 20 minutes = 10000), that's still about 8000 short of the trafic number. Given that, and how much the traffic is gamed by some places, and that since the equation would need to send data back and forth from sim to database (which uses resources), why are we still using it? As to the OP's question; It resets daily, but not sure as to an exact time. I'd guess Midnight (PDT) but that's jsut a guess. ~Jessy

AFAIK each avatar has a set number of "traffic points" to spend each day. They are split between all places he spends a minimum of 5 minutes that day. So if an avatar is only 10 minutes online one day and spends those 10 minutes all at the same place, this place gets all his traffic points for that day. If he spends 10 hours online, staying for 10 minutes at each place, his traffic points for that day will be split between the 60 locations he visited.
