Everytime I start to build in a sandbox it goes down for whatever reason and I end up waiting to get my stuff back. It's a true pain in the butt. I don't feel like taking a copy every time I make a change =x

Anyone know of a stable sandbox?

I like the College of Northwest London sandbox, usually not crowded, doesn't seem to go down much and never been griefed there. If you search sandboxes it is CNWL sandbox (sorry not in game so no landmark handy). Also they have 2 big boards of prims that you can rez if you are trying to come up with a particular shape.

Sweet. Gonna check them out, lol.

Just had hundreds of bouncing prims surround my build -.- Apparently someone has issues with me using a platform. Couldn't locate a name for the owner, though.

i'm strange, i go to a sandbox to get 'out of the house' so to speak and mingle with other builders, thing is i usually end up typeing in sandbox and going to one of the last ones on the list so there will be no one there to annoy me. Odd behavour.

Some of the bigger ones i do end up at are, the boneyard which is a furry sandbox. also pondex, which is a sandbox on the big pond sims (Australian ISP). never had problems with stability at eather of those places, the stabilty of the sim anyway .... the people on the other hand....

I'm usually building in the NCI Kuula sandbox, but, if I get frustrated by the sim stability I go to the NCI South sandbox in Hamnida. (^_^)

But really... "Stable sandbox" is right up there with "secure wireless network". (^_^)y

Sounds like you need a group membership or tag to build there.
Fermi is good 90 percent of the time but you have to join their group and wear the group tag when you build to avoid having things returned but they do return things after certain period of time if you don't clean up after yourself.

I like Skidz Isle. Never had any problem there. They offer a lot of stuff when you fisrt TP in, like a proprietary HUD, but you don't need it to build there. It is relatively free of griefers.

Furnation has two sandboxes at Vista and Gamma. Do a search for "furnation" and you should find them. Usually quiet and usually stable. :)

I recommend hobo island sandbox :D Friendly place and people, and 3 levels for building.

Now that you can build at up to 4096, if I need to use a sandbox and want to keep away from chaos, I put my ready-made, patented 30x30 sky platform up at about 2500m. I've never been troubled yet, although you do need to watch out for 'clear-out time'!

Yes I like Skidz too, although I don't often wear the hud as I find it a bit laggy.
They also have private building platforms.

My favorite sandboxes are:

1) Eternal Creations (Yes, this is a Christian sim, but nobody proselytizes you.)
2) New Berlin (One of the friendliest sandboxes)
3) Wonderful Denmark (Also friendly)

I've found sandboxes in

1) Utopia Portugal
2) Starlit (which is in Gaeta)

These are all small but I mainly make clothes and plants so don't need a lot of space. They also seem to be grief free.

I do about the same, except I rez a block, sit on it, set the z to whatever height I like and once I get ther just expand the x & y to 10 each. Seems big enough to me :)

ABC Island - It's a 4-level platform, which can be annoying if you're building with physical objects (they fall through the floor) but it's very quiet , rarely crashes, and doesn't have any problem with griefers. It's too small for buildings, but great for scripting or building small objects. There used to be a volunteer there all the time, but lately it's pretty empty during U.S. hours (it's hosted by an Australian company).

Harbinger's Haven might suit if you like a friendly environment. It's not huge but it's big enough for most needs.

Anyone knows of a Sandbox that allows the use of MegaPrims?

I'm still kinda new to SL and wanna try building stuff, and I only know of the two "Sandbox Island" and "Sandbox Island Extension" sims that are always crowded, laggy... and only allow the construction of a 10x10x10 prim.

I can't build anything bigger then that and would like to, so I can eliminate some texture seams.

Actually that is not true... I have friends who are building with Mega Prims all the time in their own Sims, because their Sims are running on Havoc4 which supports building with Mega Prims; but only up to a certain size.
