Transparency bug?

I'm asking this on behalf of someone else, because I really want to know the answer now too!

They're using a poseball which turns invisible on sit. But when they sit on it, it goes red and partially transparent (the way invisible things look when 'show transparent' is on). But they absolutely don't have show transparent on!

It seems to just be on their side, as other people can't see it. I've suggested the usual (clear cache, try another viewer) but other than that, I'm stumped. Has anyone else seen this before? Anyone got any suggestions?

Could they accidentally have left a beacon on, for example for scripted objects? Get them to check their "beacon" settings under the "View" menu.

You have highlight transparency turned on :) Press control alt t to enable/disable highlight transparency.

A good tip to know to find stuff that is 100% transparent.

:)

Thanks Barrington, I'll pass that on. Or point him at this thread, that might be more useful!

Go to your "view" menu, and make sure "Beacon always on" isn't checked.

Beacons or highlight transparencies are probably turned on.
