Hey all, sorry if this is the wrong thread but I didnt know which one to put this in. My hard drive died on me and had to get a new one so that means I lost all my programs etc..
I had a program that would let me edit a sound clip to make the clip shorter to be able to fit it into sl. I don't even remember the name of the program. Can anyone give me info on a program for this?
thanks in advance

GoldWave: http://www.goldwave.com/

Cuts a wav automatically in 10 secs clips and saves them in separate files.

Alot of programs will let you edit sound files,, offhand, I would say Goldwave is easy enough to work with, also too just about and studio software like Sony Acid, Cakewalk Project 5 and Pro tools, but those are extremely dificult for the layman.

My favorite poem is the one that starts 'Thirty days hath September' because it actually tells you something.

"Audacity" (PC and Mac versions) is another common choice. I got a copy free with a USB turntable recently. Not sure if the app is normally free or has a price associated with it.

If you're looking to spend money, Adobe Audition is fantastic. It's been one of my favorite programs for many years now (since well before Adobe bought it). If you're looking for freebies, then I'd recommend Audacity or Goldwave.
