This is odd. The entire Odi Freddi region was abandoned recently. Most of it is behind banlines now. How is that possible? Is this something I can file a ticket on?

Yes - file a support ticket and ask for the ban lines to be removed. Put Governor Linden as the related avatar.
I have done this in the past and usually gets taken care of in a week or two... probably not given a high priority. Rime |

I've noticed when land is abandoned, the Lindens never check to see if banlines are still active. I've had a parcel that was abandoned next to me a few months ago that still has a huge "for sale" box. Auto Return doesn't happen either.

Are you sure Odi Freddi doesn't belong to C&C Rentals which is next door. I figured the Be Friends group which used to have the region took down their build and put up the ban lines. If the land is truely abandoned and those ban lines can go, that is the best news I had all day. I'm going to put in an AR as well.

... I'm going to put in an AR as well. Don't really need to do an AR - just do a support ticket and somebody from the land team (not the governance team, which deals with ARs) will get poked to come by and fix up the settings. _____________________

Agreed - its NOT an AR issue but a support issue.

I meant a support ticket and I just filled one out a few minutes ago. Hopefully those ban lines will come down. This means my "Honey Hut" in Hartley is no longer hemmed in. I'll miss Be Friends but they did know how to make a decent shopping mall club look tacky on Halloweeen.

I used both an AR and a ticket when this happened in Fietzo.
Took them a few days to resolve it. The advantage of the AR was the included screenshot. Nearly every Linden I've seen come by and had a chance to talk to was responding to an AR, but was also aware of the ticket. _____________________

Do NOT file an inworld AR! This isn't a violation of the TOS or abuse.
Simply file a support ticket on the site with the name of the region if it's the whole thing. Or the SLURL (and a screenshot if you're so inclined). One of the bugs in the system which the Lindens have in queue for a fix is for abandoned land to revert to default settings. Right now it leaves them as they were before the property was abandoned until a Linden manually changes it. It usually takes a ticket. It might not get fixed right away. The grid is vast and so are the number of abandoned properties. _____________________

I sent in my ticket last night, and I had a response in email this morning. Banlines are down.
Thank you, SL DPW! |

Do NOT file an inworld AR! This isn't a violation of the TOS or abuse. An AR works, so its what I'd use. It works faster most of the time. I think I used land fraud, or one of the other land categories. Maybe even harassment - which is pretty much what it amounts to for the people left in the area after that land gets that way. _____________________
