If one has a texture clearly stolen *and* files a DMCA takedown with SL... what happens? Will said item go away from the service overall? What is the liklihood of this -- or of action being taken at all?

From what a friend has told me who had to do many is it is waiting game it often takes months before Lindens do anything due to investigations and various other things. From: someone Marianne McCann:

LL does Not delete stolen textures from data base, the offenders are told to quit selling them, they may be banned but they can always move on to next alt and start all over again. Their is no way for Linden Labs to prevent this.
