Well...using the search tool you will find a lot of slingo places...and usually these places is with a lot of players there. This is cool because I love it and if it's allowed...I'd like to install on my sim too I just don't know if it's really allowed or not.At the KB there is not a clear answer... Also, I contacted the consierge support that also don't send me a clear answer too...Consierge adviced me to create, then create a abuse report on myself saying something like "I'd like..but I Dont know if I can" and if I receive a warning...shutdown... Ok, I can do it..but the system is very expensive to "pay to check if can or not" The store that's sell the slingo system (Devil May Care) say's thats the new version is 100% compliant with the rules. Can somene tell me if I can or not ? ty !

That sounds like some pretty lame advice. From what I understand .. The Lindens wont go on record officially saying any of those games is allowed, so when you ask you don't get a straight answer.

if you have to question if something is legal or not, then err on the side of caution and consider it not legal (at least not legal for yourself)
If you believe it to be legal, then get it and wait till someone ar's it, then explain to the lindens why you think it is legal (and not just because the creator says it is)
if you do not care either way, then just get it

From chatlogs I have seen the Lindens will tell people their game is okay, or even the game they sell if okay ..
But they wont officially put that anywhere.
Probably so they can change their mind tommorrow if they need to.

Ethan: maybe a good way to find out is, to set one up, and abuse report yourself if you get a warning, you prolly shouldn't use it Rafaella_Schumann: omg..let me see if I understood.... Rafaella_Schumann: I should create my bingo system..and create a AR to myself and see the results ? Ethan: yes, why not...you can state in your report that you were uncertain about the rules Rafaella_Schumann: Right...it's appear smart in some how I liked the idea....any chance to AR myself and someoene from LL instead warn me just: cancel my account ? Ethan: no, you won't get your account suspended over an honest experiment. Rafaella_Schumann: Nice, Ethan Thanx a lot and have a nice day

Slingo in both of the major brand names in SL, Devil May Care and Zyngo, has been approved. The Lindens in charge of enforcing the gaming policy made a decision that the skill component was important enough to the game that it could be allowed. Not every Linden you talk to, especially those answering help calls, knows about it.

This is a "the Linden who makes the calls on enforcement said its all right" but no where will they put that in writing beyond a chat log, right? If so, that kind of jives with things I have heard about this and other games.

BTW.... Performing a deep research about the subject... Well.there is some hows to the slingo be compliant with the rules... 1-DMC does not accept payments. However a tip jar is available. It means that you can play for free. But polite ppls perform donations to the tip jar.Who win the game will be paid the amount in the tip jar.Not clear to me if the tip jar pay automactly just for ppls who donated or if is necessary a hostes (human) to pay the winner. Also not clear if is right or not pay only winner's that's donnated. Why not ? Sounds Legal for me. 2-The non multiplayer game (DMC Solo) request you to pay. However this will refund ya before you start the game. So, this cannot be considered a chance game because you don't have any chance to loose some money 3-I saw another system that's charge you. It's like the DMC solo, however there is a sort of "clock" on the game that make you play it in a sort of speed. So, charge for play is not necessary gamble, right ? and if there is a clock on the game, it means that the game is not about 100% chance, right ? Requires some skill to take decisions. My conclusion: There is a lot of ways to perform a distorcion that can let the game exactly the same, but compliant with the rules and anti-gambling laws is unable to match then

I'll repost what I posted before: "I think what happens is that Linden Lab cares only to the extent of how much trouble they will get in. Card games (esp. poker and blackjack), sports betting, and I would guess lottery betting are illegal in all or part of the U.S. They get state/federal attention and so they're illegal in SL. If there was a ZyngoStars.net web site making a lot of money from a bunch of people playing, the FBI would probably shut it down and then it would be against the TOS in SL.
This "games of skill" crap they talk about is just that, crap. It's just stuff they say that they think covers them and lets us still play some games."
It's flat out rediculous to allow Slingo/Zyngo on the grounds that there's enough skill involved and then ban poker on the grounds that random chance in involved. I think the reality is that the Lindens don't care about gambling, would rather not deal with it, and only enforce what they do because they feel they have to.
The policy is annoying because it's ambiguous, but at least there's still a little bit of fun to be had.

--Hugsy QFT Here's my guess ... They know the FBI knows all about Poker, But SLingo and Zyngo and all the rest are way below the radar and they figure they can try to define them as skill based games under the CC gambling law. If any of the major Banks that Issue Credits cards grumble about SLingo because they are concerned about the law, I'm sure SLingo will be put into the nono list. ---------- And that is why they aren't spelling out "Whats allowed" in black and white. Therefore they won't get pinned with ENDORSING a game they have to end up removing.

From: Bradley Bracken I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Laughing is better. I'll go with that. That is the loopiest suggestion I've heard anyone in customer support ever suggest. Basicily it would be like in real life .. "Throw a blow out party , then call the cops on yourself... If you don't get arrested you are all good to throw more parties. If you just get a warning , tone it down and call them again."

the best thing to do would be to contact Zara Linden if you are unsure of a particular games legality.
Zyngo, DMC, DEAL are all slingo type games which are indeed allowed in secondlife as well as i believe King Bing, and one thats like a treasure hunt.. ive also seen Splingo (speed slingo) but am unsure of its stance in SL. but id say its allowed due to the fact you need to be fast to play the game

you can and go for it, you have lots of competition tho.
please make something that looks nice, i have an ugly slingo build in the sky near me. luckly it gets no plays so probably won't be around long. a themed setup is nice, a place i goto often called Orbits has a cool space theme.
there are quite a few games allowed by LL includeing the ones listed above, and several others like piratez and deal. Slingo seems to be the big drawcard tho (personally i like piratez) the games are quite expencive to buy upfront but as long as you have good settings on them you make that money back pretty quickly and most places will give you a deal for buying a pack of games (like 10 or 20)
another thing to concider if you have extra space is to rent out space for other people to put there games, these go from 100L/week to around 250L for the really busy places for 33Prims (enough for a slingo machine)
i say go for it, i know some people hate those kinds of places but there is still quite alot of money in these gaming machines and they create alot of traffic
