For the first time in almost 2 years I have just used the create grass option in the build section.Great stuff I now have a small section of whispy grass.Not great stuff because it is on a gravel path LOL.I can't find a way to delete or select it.Hope I have not goofed and will be stuck with it.

The hard part about grass is selecting it, those Linden ground cover meshes are oddly shaped and hard to hit sometimes - and the center of them isn't always where you'd expect it to be. Try pressing CTRL-ALT-T to highlight transparent, makes more of it visible to click on. Just keep right-clicking around and you'll get it.

Right click on one of the peices of grass and choose edit.
You should see the edit arrows appear in the middle of the section of grass, though it wont get the usual yellow outline around it. You should then be able to delete it. If you want to check you have the right thing selected before deleting it just move it from left to right a bit (it wount move along the z axis).
EDIT: They don't highlight as transparent either...
