Newest Patch Problems.

I just downloaded the newest patch today and ever since, I've been having issues. First, when I logged on, half the avatars looked like white clouds. I tried relogging. This caused me to become a white blob. Relogged again, only 3-4 avatars out of 10 were white blobs. I finally gave up on relogging. Stayed logged on for an hour, blobs never changed.
Second, other people are having trouble seeing my clothing. The first time I logged in, all the people said they could see my shirt but not my skirt. When I relogged, they said they could see my skirt but not my shirt. All 10 people in the room said the same thing. I stayed logged on for an hour and they said there was no change. I could see them fine on my screen but they didn't show up on theirs. Even after an hour.

Please help.

Try changing your active group. Or to no active group and back again. This was a fix to an old problem years ago and I've found it works with the 'room full of white blobs' problem. YMMV.

The white cloud is a "feature" not a bug. Apparently, it's LL's answer to gray avatars and "your clothing is still downloading." (Ironic, isn't it--in view of your other problems.)

For issues with clothing and avatar appearance, try going into appearance, or going into appearance and doing a rebake.

Oh, I thought the white cloud was for people who were teleporting in near me. I guess that would make sense if upon arrival you start off gray then rez.

The simple fix is not to use the new viewers for as long as you can or use third party viewers.

I don't use any new viewer if the one I'm using is working ...well sorta working...We all know that with every new viewer, they fix ONE thing..that they broke previously and yet manage to break 10 more things...that they don't fix...Why don't they notice what they broke while playing around in the first place and fix it before releasing. When 1.20 came out..I foolishly tried it. I couldn't even stand on the ground. My AV would hover up and then bounce up and down. I couldn't walk around. I wish they would give us a choice to keep the old color scheme as well. I don't like change in the first place. I got so fustrated I used that viewer for only about ten minutes before going back to the official release of 1.19.1(4) which I am still using, which still has problems, but is working for the most part.

LL needs to paying close attention to what we are saying here in the forums. This IS where most of us discuss problems. Jira doesn't get traffic because its hard to navigate and get anything posted. Then YOU have to vote on what you want fixed..Have you voted for anything there?

I believe there are 2 kinds of "clouds', one for people TPin in and out, and another as a replacement for "Ruth". If you see a cloud of smoke walking around, thats a person who would have been a Ruth before.

The double-arrow run feature may be handy for combat types.

Being able to click on names in chat and reading a profile is nice. Finding interesting things to read in profiles would be nicer still.

I am having a problem with the local chat window. When it goes transparent, it gets hard to read.

What i would like? I wish I could drag the mini-windows off the screen. I have dual monitors and it would give me a better picture. You can do this with Photoshop, move the menu windows outside the program window.
