Does anyone have any suggestions for a building tutorial? I am totally clueless but I'd like to start learning, just not sure where to start.

The classic build tutorial is the Ivory Tower Library Of Primitives - enter that into Search Places, and you should find it.

Totally. The Ivory tower is a great place to visit and learn. Also, check out Event Search for "NCI". They have a bunch of live building and scripting classes scheduled through the whole week. If you want to meet and greet with builders, check out the Show&Tell and Blitz Build types of events. (^_^)y

The Ivory Tower is a great place to go, yes. Also, the Building Tips forum is a great place to ask questions. Resident Answers isn't necessarily frequented by people who focus on teaching building techniques, but Building Tips is. That's what it's there for.

All the content creation forums are great. Check them out. Leave RA to more generic questions.

I love the Ivory Tower, but it is more like a reference manual than a tutorial.

I suggest you seach for tutorials on YouTube, where there are several to get you started grom the lowest level.

Then, get a box of Freebies and go to a sandbox, and start dissassembling things

Your ability to beuild will depned on from where you start. If you have lots of 3D modeling skills, you will think it is pretty easy. If you don't know what 3D modeling is, yet, then you should expect to take days, weeks, months, or years to be able to build what you think is something cool.
