No, I don' want to start another camper thread. lol I don't mind campers, just noticed some strange things lately. For example I'm working on an indoor pool and use a camping floatie for test reasons. And what shall I say, next second I have a campler laying on it coming from nowhere. And after rejecting the camper, poof, the next one. Again, no person has been on my parcel and it was an indoor pool. So how did those camper find the floatie?
Second, and thats worse. The last days I notice zombie-campers on my dance pads which I cannot remove in the normal way anymore. No matter what I do, kicking off them or turning off the pad, the don't stop dancing. And not only that. When I reject them, next moment they return to the partucilar pad I rejected them from. The only way to remove them from the pad is to reject and to ban them. Thats new.
Well, I guess those campers are using scripts or gadgets and I'm wondering where I can find more informations about that.

Thanks for the quick response. Yes, the only way to remove them is to reject and to ban them at the same time. When I just reject them, in a short time they teleport back to the particual pad from where I rejected them and continue to dance. Even when the pad is off. Well, in general I don't care zombies. If they want to spend hours on a pad that pays nothing, okay, I let them do as Dragger suggests. lol. And I could always reject them. But these new zombies I cannot just reject. I have to reject and to ban them to remove. Else they come always back to the same pad. Thats new. At least for me on my parcel.
Yes, Okiphia, I know only some basics about bots, but probably not enough.

Simply, Eject doesn't stop someone from coming back immediately. It only moves someone out of the parcel, then they can come back.

I can't link to any at the moment, but check for some for various mediums on google. Alot of them work the same way in all mediums essentially, though the code would be different.

Seems that the bots I got recently are using a more sophisticated gadget that teleports them back automatically after rejecting. Pretty stupid to use such a gadget in my opinion, btw. I mean, if you got just rejected, one can go back to the place later again. But if you got banned, the camper place is lost for you.

Provided the seat has a sit target, they should be able to re-sit immediately from anywhere in the sim, making eject pretty much the same as unsitting them.

Oh, that could be fun! these programs must be looking for known names and descriptions for common camping pads, or something like that? Little decoy campiers that slowly float away and dump them onto a nearby road or something might be entertaining.

I wonder how long it will take the griefers to notice this new bot feature?

Don't mind banning them. What you describe are not real campers, not even real persons - they're bots, dozens of them controlled by a single user that milks SL for what its worth. Ban them on sight.

The arbor project has something called a
Clocktower Project Prode (Or something similar)
that bans various people, all known bots or adfarmers or landfarmers, etc. Useful in any plot. Might wanna see if someone is willing to give ya one.

If we knew what part of a script they're searching for, you could easily have some Free Actors to fill a themed event, like a torture chamber, etc.

Hi Doc, i noticed a new anti bot gadget being used in stores that automatically eject/ban(?) any bots that may happen to show up, give me time to get home and ill look for it for you. If its an immediate need, Crystals AOs has one near her camping area.

But the third job, some call it, uh, "the show" or "the big dance," it's the profession that every linden aspires to.
