Just wondering who might be the best clothes designers on SL? I mean the nice quality clothing (the stuff my sorry butt cant afford) I just want to check some out is all.

I have no clue when it comes to shopping.

Well, I am far from the best clothing designer in SL, but I do have some very affordable basic menswear, as well as some nice business stuff, and even a tuxedo now. At least I think it's nice, and some others who've bought it say it's nice. Your milage may vary :)

Or are you looking for ladieswear...I have some of that too, but again, I'm far from the best clothing designer in SL.

Drop me an IM in game or a PM if it's something special you're looking for. I like designing custom things and I don't charge an arm or a leg or even a toe.

:)

I'm not sure there is a "best designer" in SL becasue what I like or you like may be different and there are MANY unknown, or upcoming designers out there that make some pretty cool stuff... Personally I like the classic, femme clothes.. I think each designer has something, maybe 1 outfit maybe more, that you will like.. So to say a specific designer is better than the rest is not fair......

If it's men's clothing you're interested, check out the Men's Second Style blog:

http://www.second-man.com

...and also SL Men:

http://www.slmen.com

They work really hard to find and feature men's fashion that is pretty much all over the place.

It's usually worth it to just ask people you meet inworld where they got their clothes. Approach the question the same way you'd approach a friend who dresses carefully--give them the opportunity to lie if they don't want to give away their secret :D

Second Nicky Ree!

I found a sim somewhere south of my home Yamma Yamma called Puerto something or other, an Italian sim. It might have been purely pyschological but I thought the clothes at the shops there were very lush and stylish.

Little Rebel is good for girl's clothes but you haven't elaborated mens or womens.

Well judging from your profile picture..... I´m guessing we´re talking menswear :)

As to who the _best_ designers are..... I´d say that´s nigh on impossible to answer, because a lot depends on taste and the style of clothing we´re talking.

Nicky Ree is probably one of the best, BUT I find her stuff very pricey and the store impossible to negotiate.

I´ll throw in FNKY and UK Couture for cool menswear. :)

Aww Sally! you must let me guide you personally around! :)

Jackson, MIA was the first place ever recommended to me for clothes .. but takes a long time to load in all those textures!

Ah!! Great tips wonderful ones! Thanks to all the replies. I should have been more specific on the gender of clothing; I’m looking for a Christmas gift for a female but hey!! Doesn’t hurt to look for myself too :D I just wanted something nice for her; you know not the things I can make in Appearance mode lol.
Instead of me buying her yellow pants and a red top and those cool color change shoes, I thought I might ask the experts.

Danielle- I will TP on over-- or crash (which ever SL decides for me) Thanks!
Derenaun thanks for the links I’m a frequent visitor to the slmen.com page.

Once again you guys are too kind and very helpful!
