First thing this morning (needing to send an urgent message in-world) I went to log-on and was invited to reply to a survey concerning my SL experience getting better or worse. In a rush, I skipped it, after umpteen attempts I got on line and crashed immediately !!
More tries and eventually got to a different sim, now I couldn't TP anywhere, but no matter I thought and went to send some messages. Now I find that I can't pull up a profile either, followed shortly be another crash!!!

Now I sooo want to fill in that survey, and it's gone ! Now I wonder why? Any ideas?

having my shorcut set to skip the front page and go straight to logging in I've never actually seen the thing, but I wonder if it's related to the obscure -dialog flag you can see on this page
http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Client_parameters

not sure how random the dialog is, it may be targeted at people that have X logins within Y time, or it may be something like every X viewers that connect

Hi Roland,
You get the survey on login randomly, so no way to get it back as it were. I've only ever seen it once, so not sure if it comes back once you've answered or skipped.
You can of course hope it pops up again :D

I had thought the survey must pop up randomly, or for every X number of logins gridwide, but maybe it's just a safety-valve type thing so it looks as though someone's taking notice when things are rough!

I've had it show up about three times in all. The most recent was a couple of days ago at a most opportune moment - just as I was fuming after crashing out for the umpteenth consecutive time while trying to TP.

Time to time I receive that survey too... Always answering the experience is going wrong because of the lag and crashes... Anyway, don't think anybody will read them, so.....................

Good luck all with your SL experience ;)

The survey doesn't give you proper space to complain/explain anyways. Most I could get was, "logins rezzing tping communication" Which.. what exactly what I was having problems with.

From: someone
Meta Linden: that 80-character limit message confuses me, because we get a LOT of messages through that are a lot longer than 80 characters
Meta Linden: some people send through long missives.
Meta Linden: randomly we select a percentage of logins and direct them to an online survey "is your second life experience getting worse or better" and leave a text box for comments
Meta Linden: we have a screen in the office that streams them in near realtime
Meta Linden: and chart the negatives vs positives over time
