How long does it take to fill an order?

I just joined a few days ago with a basic account. I put in my credit information so I can buy some Lindens. I requested to buy 2500 lindens and hit the button. My cash account went down but I don't have any Lindens showing.

Orders placed through LindeX should be filled instantly.

Try logging in and out again, or try paying L$1 to yourself. Sometimes the order is fulfilled so quickly that your computer "misses" the message from the server that "hey, you have some L$ now!". However, the server still knows that you have the L$, so you won't have lost them. Either of these actions will force your computer to check your L$ balance with the server.

Thank you so much for such a fast response. I went back to the website and the Lindens were there. Now I get to go shopping!!

Thank you again, Flosse

you have to wait and do your first amounts of money slowly. they make it this way to protect themselves and you. so in order to start spending big, you have to be a member for 30 days.

you can start getting into larger sums at about the 8 or 9 day mark, then it increases from there. (i had to ask twice myself)

Flosse, make sure and visit Gnubie Store inworld too. There's a three storey building with some very good freebies and 'dollarbies' (L$1 items).

Also if you'd like a nice skin to start with, check out the ones specially for avs under 30 days old at Fleur.

Not inworld atm for landmarks but both locations can be found in search.

I hope I get this much help while in the game.

Is there some other good places to go for help and to meet people?

The Shelter is a great place. Also look up New Citizens Inc.
Of course you can always ask for help here. That is what this forum is for. :)
Have fun!

Another excellent Group is Free*Style. They also have a blog http://slfreestyle.blogspot.com/

This is probably my preference in the Freebie groups as they seem to find a lot of stuff in the more obscure and very fabulous Japanese sims.

Welcome to SL :)

Hi Flosse. I saw you at the Forum Cartel Hangout. Just like here, there are a lot od friendly people there. I know I could not have gotten up to sped so fast without their help. Even so it does seem overwhelming at times.

NCI or the Hangout are great places to start. I just found the hangout first so that's where I go. Maybe I should say they found me.

And welcome to second life. I hope you enjoy your time here.

It was so nice meeting everyone last night. Thank you all for the gifts of skins and clothes.

The skins are hard to understand. I put one on but couldn't take it off again to try a different one. The clothes were pretty easy, take one thing off and put another on just like real life.

Hi Flosse and welcome from me too,

You can't take off skins, you have to replace one with another one. So you just pick the next one in your invy and wear that. It will automaticallt replace the previous one.

Have fun!
