Charge My Card

I want to make a very large purchase but do not have my credit card connected to my Paypal for a very good reason (I'm a compulsive spender). I'm looking for someone who is able to charge credit cards outside of Paypal who can charge my card and can then make the purchase on my behalf. As far as I can tell, there is no risk to the person who would do this, but a bunch on my side. Is anyone able to help with this?

There is way too much risk involved in this. I dont think anyone should go this route. Instead, associate your CC and then remove it after you have made your purchase. Be safe please

If you want to make a purchase then I see no reason why you cannot do the same as everyone else, submit your CC info on your account page of SL then make your purchase,
or add it to your paypal account then make the transfer.

You can always delete your CC details after your purchase.

Sound like a stolen credit card money laundering scheme to me.

To anyone who might even think of helping the original poster, do know that Linden Lab has said that they will charge you for 150% of the L$ obtained through credit card fraud. So, for example, if you were to buy $100 for this unknown person, you'd wind up owing $150 and you would probably have your SL account terminated and possibly face criminal conspiracy charges.

You can use the credit card on SL exchange. You can add a US dollar balance, then use it to buy lindens on there, then just withdraw, and it puts it into your Av's account on SL. However, i think you have to have had a log in/account on there for at least 7 days before you can add any money.

Or you can buy a prepaid limit card from Visa or the like for a specific amount. If it's $500, that's all that's on the card and you can't go over. I definitely wouldn't try to get someone else to charge to PayPal for you, or anything like that.

I really didn't expect the kind of response that I ended up with. Not having bad intentions myself, I failed to see the negative side that this would raise. I do apologise for any inference of a scam.

I do have a valid reason for not wanting to submit *MY* CC (yes I do own the card. How is it even possible to use someone elses card??) details to Paypal and I wasn't actually aware that SL offered a direct CC facility. It certainly seems like a wiser choice.

Oryx beat me to it. You can get a Visa gift card at any major grocery or drug store. I think they charge around $6 to activate a $100.00 card. Associate the card with SLX or, I think, directly with your SL account and buy Lindens through SLX or Lindex. Once the $100 on the card is used, it's empty and useless.

Unfortunately I'm Australian and I have never heard of this kind of thing being offered here. :/

'Cheers'...you've got to be a Brit...Milli you can go to the Post Office and get a PO Visa Travel Pre Paid card..pay in however much and off you go..no need to involve Pay Pal.
